The much adored musical play 'FELA AND THE KALAKUTA QUEENS' is set to hit Abuja starting today, Friday June 8, 2018.
The show, produced by Bolanle Austen - Peters (BAP) Production showcases the life and times of the Afrobeat legend, global icon and music maestro Fela Anikulapo Kuti and his 27 wives.
Speaking, BAP said ''The Queens of Kalakuta aren't just wives of Fela, they are known warriors, artists, dancers, mothers. They were Queens in every way; working hard with absolute dedication, never doubting their King - Fela. They helped build and shape the evergreen Empire we all celebrate today. They are worthy of Celebration. Their untold story must be told.''
Fela and the Kalakuta Queens will be on display today June 8 at 7:30pm, Saturday June 9 and Sunday June 10 by 3pm and 7:30pm at the NAF Centre, Kado (opposite Next Cash & Carry), Abuja.
