FOUR SARS OFFICERS DISMISSED OVER 7 MILLION NAIRA EXTORTION

The Nigeria Police has dismissed four men of the dreaded Special Anti Robbery Squad, better known as SARS over allegeded extortion and armed robbery. 

Making this public, ACP Yomi Shogunle wrote via twitter:

"Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2 Lagos, AIG Adamu Ibrahim approves dismissal of 4 Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) Ikeja, Lagos operatives over ₦7million extortion. 

Men charged to court for Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Unlawful detention, Intimidation and threatening violence.

Ex/Sgt Adeoye Adekunle,
Ex/Sgt AdeniraAdebowale,
Ex/Sgt Agbi Lucky and
Ex/Sgt Odighe Hehosa.

This news was greeted with messages of warning to the Police Force, with many declaring that allowing these men to roam the streets poses further danger to residents. 

Allaying the fears of many, Human Rights Lawyer and #EndSARS. Campaigner Sega Link informed the public that "They will be tried for Armed Robbery. It should be worse because they were armed by the state. We are pushing for capital punishments for this crimes. These are unfit hoodlums for society."
