Coming barely 48hours after the death of Linda Igwetu - the youth corper shot by a Police officer in Abuja, another person has been declared dead.
Renowned Journalist, Tunde Olawuwo reported that Sofiat who had been severely wounded by a Police stray bullet during the Bodija butcher's eviction in Oyo state had passed away.
He wrote: "This pretty young lady, Sofiat Yekini is one of the victims of stray bullet allegedly by @PoliceNG during last week's forceful and brutal eviction of butchers at Bodija Market in Ibadan. I discussed with her mum Ganiyat yesterday about fund raising. Today, she's dead."
With the agitation growing stronger by the day, it is left to be seen what Government's position and possible means to curb the excesses of the Police Force will be.
